Sounds suspiciously like you are allowing standards to slip, Aran, which is most unlike you!
Also sounds like you're having another successful Bootcamp! :star:

Thanks to Iestyn and Cat and Aran and Catrin, of course.

Great time and enjoyed every minute. Certainly increased my confidence with speaking and with so much practice have been able to compose a great variety of different sentences on all sorts of topics!

Bootcamp has definitely helped my confidence and I am quite sure now that I can use Welsh easily when out and about!

looking forward to Lesson 25 of the intermediate course.

Thanks to everyone for their company and sgwrs :D

May see some of you at the Eisteddfod

July 2010 Bootcampers, I salute you!...:D

I've just reluctantly left the Llong before being kicked out for the second time in one week - it was all far too entertaining and enjoyable for me to want to leave, but the Eisteddfod has sneaked up on us and has a brick ready to smack us in the back of the head - so it needs to be an earlier night tonight!

Thank you all so much for your company, your enthusiasm, and your Welsh...:D Catrin and I are enormously grateful and touched for the absolutely fantastic bottle of champagne to wet the baby's head in November, and will look forward hugely to letting you all know when we open it!

Thank you for putting up with the change of tutors so cheerfully, and for not holding a mutiny at any stage - not even when you cancelled the Noson Lawen and replaced it with an evening of songs and jokes...

I hope very much indeed that we will see those of you who don't post on here often a bit more in the future - you're all a very warmly welcome part of our community now, and it will *always* be lovely to hear from you...:D

Llongyfarchiadau mawr iawn iawn unwaith eto - mae'n braf iawn cael 9 siaradwr Cymraeg newydd!...:star:

Well I'm happy to report that Krys and I made it safely back to Abertawe (despite a random road closure 0.5 mile from our destination throwing me somewhat!)

Big thank you to the tutors and all the other bootcampers for making it such an enjoyable and productive week. I'm really looking forward to scaring (sorry, chatting to) lots of people at the Eisteddfod now.

Safe journey back to everyone that hasn't reached home yet and hopefully see you at an Eisteddfod sometime :D

[Oh and the facebook pic makes me look I spent my time eating cake!!!]

That sounds as though you had an even earlier getaway than I thought you had in mind!... :faint: Does that mean the beach party got going?!

That's a great attitude for the Eisteddfod...:star: Go hunting early stage learners who aren't doing anything SSiW, and scare the bejaysus out of them...

The horrible truth is that *everyone* spent the entire week eating cake, apart from me... :ing:

Edrych ymlaen at dy weld di yn y Steddfod!

I've just seen these lluniau gwych on WynebLlyfr.com  and, in particular the pictures of Catrin's & Aran's beautiful Angharad. It made me think of a phrase my Llangadog mamgu used to describe babies or toddlers. It sounded like "Calon Gabechyn" and my mum translated it as "heart of a cabbage" meaning "good enough to eat". Has anyone else heard this phrase or its near equivalent?
Anyway it's clear that the SSIW tutors (Gog & Hwntu) produce some lovely offspring  Keep up the good work (and I haven't forgotten that Catrin is currently doing precisely that)
Please feel free to correct me if you can be bothered. :-)

Well, I'm sitting here wishing I could get the cats signed up to miaowsomethinginwelsh now...

As I drove to Nneka's house last Saturday, I was feeling absolutely terrified, thinking perhaps the Bootcamp was somewhat over-ambitious at my stage. However, I've had a fantastic time. Perhaps being totally shattered each evening after a day out helps to shut up some of those "can't do" voices inside?

Many thanks to Iestyn, Cat, Aran and Catrin, and no less to my fellow chain-gang members. It was great meeting you all and your friendliness really helped a lot.

Hope to see some of you at the Eisteddfod on Wednesday.

Well I'm back in the byd go-iawn now and I want to go back to Tresaith!! Thanks to everyone for their sgwrs and company during the week. I had a great time and I can't believe how much of a physical and emotional journey the week was but I enjoyed every minute.

Unfortunately due to some unexpected news once I got home the "No English Weekend hasn't happened, but I'm looking forward to going to the Eisteddfod tomorrow to speak as much Welsh as possible. I'm now not sure if I'll be at the Eisteddfod Thursday either.

Diolch yn fawr iawn to Iestyn, Cat, Ioan, Emrys, Aran, Cartrin, Angharad Lliar and my fellow bootcampers for an unforgettable week. I will post a link to my photos once I've uploaded them. :D
